POLITICAL SHOCKWAVE AS MIMIKO RESIGNS FROM PDP SET FOR POSSIBLE MOVE TO APC

Former Ondo State Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, has officially resigned from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

In a letter addressed to the PDP Chairman of Ward 7, Ondo West Local Government, Mimiko said his resignation takes effect from April 10, 2026, adding that ongoing speculations about his membership status made it necessary to clarify his position.

He explained that having stayed away from party activities for some time, he wishes to formally put it on record that he is no longer a member of the party, stressing that the decision was made without any animosity.

Sources, however, suggest that the former governor may be heading to the All Progressives Congress (APC) following reported meetings with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other party leaders.

His Chief Press Secretary, Eni Akinsola, confirmed the resignation but did not provide further details.
